My Green House

The thing that sold us on the house was the contemporary design, open layout and perfect size – not too big, not too small. On top of all that, the house was built green. Although we didn’t set out looking for a green house, that just made this house that much better. The best part of being green in our case is that a lot of reclaimed materials were used throughout. Aside from conserving resources, it gives the house plenty of character that can sometimes be lacking with new construction. For example, this barn door was made from wood salvaged from a 100+ year old house and some plexi:
