I’m really glad that Alek invited me to write here! I love her blog and it’s such an honor! Since I’m Brazilian, I want to show you all the prettiest boutique hotel in Bahia: Uxua Casa Hotel.

Wilbert Das, creative director of Diesel and Uxua’s owner, wanted to make a cool place to stay in the Trancoso town. He renovated three fishing houses from the 1500s, using traditional construction techniques and recycled materials. But that’s not to suggest that Uxua suffers from any lack of modern glamour. There is a balance between luxury and a laid-back style that just feels right. So if you’re thinking of traveling to Brazil, don’t miss this spot. Until then, check out the amazing pictures from this tropical paradise. To find out more about Uxua Casa Hotel visit: http://uxuacasahotel.com.

Olá Bella, What a stunning place! The views and interiors are gorgeous. I love how they were able to retain the façade of the original buildings whilst recreating the interiors into luxurious villas. Everything looks as if it is original, nothing looks to new or too precious. As you said Mr. Das is definitely not suffering from lack glamour or comfort for that matter. He certainly was able to have it all. How I wish I had a hammock…
